Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work on a sliding scale, with typical fees ranging from $125-175 for individuals and $150-200 for couples. Sliding scale availability is limited, and all sessions are 50 minutes unless otherwise stated. I am not in-network with insurance, so check with your company about out-of-network coverage that might compensate you for a percentage of mental healthcare. I am a participating provider in the Asian Mental Health Collective’s Lotus Fund.

  • Lotus Therapy Fund is a program operated by the Asian Mental Health Collective, an organization dedicated to increasing Asian American access to mental health treatment and support. The fund provides 8 sessions of free therapy to individuals in need, matching them with an Asian therapist who is in turn compensated at an industry-standard rate. Find out more and apply at www.asianmhc.org/lotus-therapy-fund/.

  • Both! I work in-person in Prospect Heights and offer remote sessions for clients located in New York and New Jersey.

  • I am not able to accept insurance directly, but I am able to provide superbills for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Some questions to ask your insurance provider about Out of Network Mental Health Benefits:

    - What is my out of network deductible?

    - How much of my out of network deductible has been already met?

    - What is my policy period?

    - What is my co-insurance?

    - How do I submit for reimbursement?

    - How long do I have to submit my superbill?

*If they ask for a CPT code: Individual Sessions = 90834, Couples/Family Sessions = 90847

  • Sex therapy is talk therapy focused on concerns related to sex, intimacy, identity, and relationships. It takes place entirely through conversation—there is no physical touch or sexual activity involved. You do not need to be sexually active or in a relationship to benefit from sex therapy. You just need to have some questions for yourself and a desire to explore them!

  • Music connects people, makes them feel in tune with their own bodies, and expresses feeling in a way that words alone cannot. If you have a recommendation for one of the emotive playlists, feel free to let me know! My goal is to have the playlists become a confidentially collaborative effort.
